TELL THE SENATE:
PASS THE FOR THE PEOPLE ACT NOW

With our midterm elections at stake, Congress must act.

"Somebody is taking our voting rights and we won't be silent anymore." - Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II, leading the Poor People's Campaign's Moral Monday action at the U.S. Capitol this week

We have a responsibility to participate in politics out of a commitment to the common good, but in states across the country the right to vote is under attack. Voters are calling on Congress to protect our right to vote by passing the For the People Act. Will you add your voice?

Call 888-885-1748 to be connected to your Senators' offices.
*Call twice to reach both of your Senators' offices.*
Tell them the Senate must pass S.1, the For the People Act,
before going home for recess.

The For the People Act (S.1) must be passed and signed into law before the end of summer in order to go into effect before the 2022 midterms and prevent the drawing of hyper-partisan maps that threaten to disenfranchise voters, especially voters of color, for the next decade.

Congress must pass the For the People Act and cannot let anything get in their way. The Senate cannot leave for congressional recess without passing S.1, even if that means delaying recess. Recess can wait -- our democracy can't.

Call 888-885-1748 today. When you call, be sure to introduce yourself and say: "I'm asking the Senator to support the passage of S.1 to protect the right to vote and save our democracy before leaving for recess." Call twice to reach both Senate offices!

The reforms in the For the People Act would put us on the path to build a democracy that is fair, inclusive, and responsive to the will of voters. We need your help to make this a reality.

Thank you for taking action,
Sister Quincy Howard, OP
