Social Action Linking Together (SALT) is a network of persons in Virginia embracing the principle that “The justice of a society can be measured by how the most vulnerable members of that society are faring and being treated.” This principle can be found in all the great religious traditions and inspires SALT members to propose and shape fair public social policies through our education of policy makers & our advocacy for the poor and powerless. Someone posing as a SALT advocate recently sent an offensive letter to Virginia legislators allegedly asking for support of HB 566, legislation that is no longer under consideration. The despicable letter sent by this individual alleging to be a SALT advocate had nothing to do with legislation.

Please accept my apology for this annoying action by someone that hacked our SALT mailing system is not a SALT advocate.

Action is currently being taken to obviate any future occurrences of inappropriate letters being sent to you.
