There are several ways individuals and organizations can contact legislators. You can telephone your legislators. For delegates, all Richmond phone numbers are 804-698-10XX; the last 2 digits are the delegate’s district number. For example, Del. James Scott’s district is #53, so his phone number is: 804-698-1053. The Richmond phone numbers for senators are similarly organized. All their numbers are 804-698-75XX; the last two digits are the senator’s district number. You can also use the toll-free constituent hotline: 1-800-889-0229. Use this number to call in your position on any issue. The operator will relay your comment to your delegate or senator, but you cannot speak directly to the legislator. To request legislative information,(status of bills and getting mailing lists), call Legislative Services at (House) 804-698-1500; Senate at 804-698-7410.
